Home Where We Work Southwest

Southwest

southwestpictureThe Sonoran Institute traces its roots to the Southwest’s arid lands and fragile Sonoran Desert where it began working more than 15 years ago to bring about lasting conservation and prosperity to local communities. The Institute’s multi-faceted, long-term efforts in this area – dominated today by Arizona’s burgeoning Sun Corridor – seek to promote regional solutions to balancing rapid growth with the need for open space and creating sustainable water and energy sources for future generations.
