February 6, 2016: ABB to Upgrade HVDC Link for Bonneville Power Administration ABB will upgrade the Celilo converter station in Oregon at the north end of the Pacific Intertie, or "Path 65," which transmits electricty from the Pacific Northwest to as many as 3 million households in the greater Los Angeles area. Read the article.

January 16, 2013: PGE, BPA Pursuing Change to Cascade Crossing Transmission Project The proposed modification to this new line in Oregon would significantly reduce environmental impacts. Read the article

January 14, 2013: 1st Part of Offshore Wind Power Line Moves Ahead The Atlantic Wind Connection has announced plans for the first segment of an undersea transmission spine, which will eventually stretch from southern Virginia to New York City. Read the article.

January 14, 2013: Tri-Sate to Consider Alternative Transmission Project in San Luis Valley The Colorado utility is likely to withdraw from a previously proposed project in favor of an alternative line which will increase reliability to residential and agricultural customers in the San Luis Valley. Read the article.

January 3, 2013: SaskPower, Quanta Services Building 186-Mile Project The new line in northern Saskatchewan will parallel an existing transmission line in order to minimize environmental impact. Read the article

November 27, 2012: National Grid makes $40 million equity investment in Clean Line Energy Partners.  National Grid, one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the world, shares Clean Line's vision of investing in transmission to facilitate the development of renewable energy sources. Read the press release.

November 27, 2012: North Dakota judge refuses to delay construction on CapX2020. A judge has decided that construction can continue on a 33-mile section of CapX2020 while an appeal of the route is pending. Read the article.
