Karen is the Program Associate for the Colorado River Delta Legacy Program. She provides program and project support, assisting in the development and implementation of project activities, fundraising, communications, finance, and administration. She recently lived in Paraguay for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer working in projects related to soil conservation, riparian restoration, organic gardening, and community organization. After the Peace Corps, she designed and implemented a fundraising bicycle tour to raise funds to build schools in Paraguay, riding 5,000 miles through South America with her husband. Karen obtained her B.S. degree in biology with a minor in socio-cultural anthropology from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She speaks Spanish and Guaraní and loves her husband Joel, cycling, running, reading, and making music.
