Rocio Garcia is the Administrative Assistant at the Sonoran Institute office in Mexicali, Baja California. She graduated from the University of Baja California with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has completed several graduate courses in Marketing from the CETYS University (Center for Technical and Higher Education). Rocio worked for several years as the coordinator of EmpreSer de Mexico A.C. in collaboration with the University of Baja California implementing a free consultancy support project for university students to develop business plans and open small businesses in the area. She worked with AEURHYC (Ecological Association of Users of the Hardy and Colorado Rivers) to provide administrative support and recently worked as an assistant sales manager at a transport company. She is proficient in English and fluent in Spanish. Rocio has been married two years and has a 6 month old baby named Andrea. In her free time she enjoys looking for business opportunities to create hand-made crafts and confectionery for events.
